Moulton School Open Evenings 2025
Wednesday 1st October and Thursday 9th October 2025
Dear Parents/Carers of Y6 Students,
I would like to invite you and your child to one of our open evenings to be held on Wednesday 1st October and Thursday 9th October.
We very much welcome this opportunity to introduce ourselves to you, and to share with you a flavour of Moulton School. You will see that we are immensely proud of our students, of their high levels of achievement, and of their qualities as young people.
Session Times
There will be two "starts" to each evening at 4.30pm and 6.15pm with an introduction to MSSC from myself and some of our students. This will be followed by the opportunity to tour the school, and to talk to subject teachers, who will be available to answer any questions that you may have. Please choose the most convenient date and start time for you.
Parking and Booking Information
Please note that parking at the school, or roads surrounding the school, can sometimes be very difficult, especially when there are events taking place at Moulton Village Hall. We are mindful of the pressures these large school events can pose for local residents. In order to ease any traffic congestion and allow us to manage any parking requirements we are asking all visitors to book a time slot through the following link: https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/1708659549709?aff=oddtdtcreator
- We would recommend walking to this event if possible.
- There will be no parking on site for guests arriving by car (with the exception of disabled blue badge holders).
- If you are driving, we will be operating a park and ride service from Nationwide Building Society, Kings Park Rd, Moulton Park, Northampton NN3 6NW. Please park at Nationwide in the main car park and take the shuttle bus to MSSC which will be running throughout the evening, commencing at 4.00pm.
- Disabled blue badge holders can request a disabled parking space at school when reserving your time slot.
Specialist Provision (The Bridge)
Our specialist provision, The Bridge, will not be open on these evenings. If your child has an EHCP and a primary need of autism and you would like to enquire about The Bridge please email: dspadmin@moultonschool.co.uk.
Transition to Secondary School
The school sees this meeting as the first step in the process of transfer to secondary school and, during the time leading up to September 2026, Primary School staff and Moulton School staff will be working closely together to ensure that things go smoothly. All the children starting at Moulton School in 2026 will have the opportunity to visit the school to see us at work on Monday 6th July for Transition Day.
More Information
I hope very much that you can join us in October, and look forward to meeting you and showcasing our wonderful school. Updates will be posted on our website: moultonschool.co.uk.
Kind regards,
Barrie Murphy
Acting Headteacher
