PE Extra Curricular
Extra curricular PE is an important part of the Department's work. We offer a fully inclusive range of clubs before school, at lunch time and beyond the school day. We encourage all pupils to take advantage of the opportunities available to them in order to enhance their physical, emotional and social skills as well as develop and improve their general health and wellbeing.
In addition to the inclusive clubs on offer, there are opportunities to be a representative of one of the many school teams that have competitive fixtures during the year. Last academic year Moulton School were active in competitive inter-school fixtures in athletics, badminton, cross country, cricket, cycling, football, gaelic football, hockey, netball, rounders, rowing, rugby, softball and table tennis
The PE department also provide opportunities for sports leadership. Successful applicants to the programme have hierarchical opportunities:
Yr 9 - organise inter-house opportunities to younger Moulton pupils, in order to develop and enhance their leadership skills.
Yr 10 & 11 - those who graduate successfully from their Yr 9 experiences are place on our "Gold" leaders' programme. These pupils organise and run a variety of festivals for both primary and secondary pupils from across our District and County. Last year our Gold Sports Leaders volunteered an accumulated total of over 450 hours of sports leadership within our community.
